Javed is a flow artist and movement practitioner specializing in object manipulation and fire dancing, best known for his poi workshops and prop-based performances. A self-taught artist, his work weaves together body movement, flow arts, and theatre to create deeply embodied forms of storytelling.
In recent years, his practice has expanded into pixel programming technology and acrobatics, pushing toward more immersive and visually dynamic experiences. Over the past five years, he has taught and performed across India, with appearances at prominent cultural festivals such as Kochi-Muziris Biennale, Echoes of Earth, Urū, Bloom in Green Festival, and Ragam NIT Calicut.
His contributions have been recognized at cultural festivals hosted by SPAV University and TKM College of Engineering, particularly for his poi workshops. Through his teaching, he has introduced flow arts to a wide audience across India, inspiring many to pursue poi spinning more seriously while advocating it as an accessible tool for health and well-being.
Alongside his independent work, he has been part of the Bliss Circus School in Palolem, Goa, where he has taken on roles as a teacher, performer, and member of the management team. His experience spans creating group choreographies, show direction, event planning, and marketing, reflecting a holistic engagement with both the artistic and organizational aspects of performance.
At heart, he remains an avid hobbyist, continually learning through movement and play. He enjoys surfing and training in capoeira and contemporary dance, drawing from these practices to shape his connection to flow, rhythm, and life.
